Watch for the portal
Eligible creature kills have a 52-in-1,000 chance to call an Echo. A flashing portal marks the spot and gives you 6 seconds to get ready.
A rift can open after a creature falls
When the portal starts to flash, the hunt changes. An Echo takes the form of the creature you just defeated, giving you a short moment to prepare before the next fight begins.
Eligible creature kills have a 52-in-1,000 chance to call an Echo. A flashing portal marks the spot and gives you 6 seconds to get ready.
Echoes appear as Noob, Veteran, Champion, or Elite. Each tier raises the danger. White skulls mark Noob and Veteran; red skulls warn of Champion and Elite.
Earn tokens for every Echo defeated. There is also a 10% chance of a surprise rune in its corpse, with 1–100 charges. Open the corpse when you see the warning.
The rift's challenge
Higher tiers are more dangerous and pay more.
Echo Surge increases the chance of an Echo appearing by 50% while it is active. Watch in-game announcements for a surge.
